In this role you will manage projects from concept, through detailed planning, to installation and commissioning. You will act as key contact for the customer, working closely with site supervisors, providing direction and support to on-site teams, and managing the procurement of materials.

Your key focus will be to consistently achieve the successful and safe completion of HVAC projects on time, on budget whilst meeting or exceeding the quality standard.

Projects will be spread across the UK and therefore travel, and over-night stays will be a requirement of the role.

The Role

To be successful in this role the post-holder will be able to:

  • Develop and implement a business development plan aimed at growing the HVAC arm of the business.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with employees, customers and suppliers.
  • Efficiently respond to HVAC enquiries.
  • Develop and issue quotations and pricing variations and ensure that all project related administration is effectively maintained.
  • Manage numerous commercial HVAC projects simultaneously ranging from small works to up to £2m in value.
  • Develop and manage the implementation of detailed plans for HVAC projects.
  • Develop and manage budgets for HVAC projects.
  • Process orders of materials & equipment to ensure they are delivered to site on time.
  • Attend sites to develop and maintain customer relationships, attend client meetings, value works, and oversee progress and quality on jobs.
  • Liaise with main client, engineers, suppliers, sub-contractors other external and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of all projects.
  • Manage and minimise health, safety and environmental risks and impacts on projects.
  • Ensure suitable and sufficient risk assessments and method statement are developed and implemented on all projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on budget.
  • Prepare O&M and project hand over documents.
  • Produce regular status reports and attend internal meetings to report on quality, cost, delivery and safety related to HVAC projects.

The Person

To be successful in this role the post holder will be able to demonstrate:

  • Exceptional leadership skills.
  • Strong business acumen possessing a high level of commercial awareness.
  • A well-developed technical understanding of HVAC systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years Project Management / Contracts Management experience gained in a customer-facing role within the commercial HVAC market sector.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • A flexible attitude to work with strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans and engineering drawings.
  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office, planning and database systems.

The Details

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per year.
